Christmas Gift Guide | Stocking Fillers

christmas-gift-guide

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…and I’m starting to feel like the pressure to finish buying gifts for family and friends before the festive madness sets in!

Around this time of year, I love reading and watching gift guides for creative ideas and inspiration and I wanted to add mine to the mix and give a little back. I usually spend between £5 and £15 on a stocking filler depending on who it is for and their personal tastes, so I’m sticking to that and I’m going to try and cover men, women and children all in one post!

I’ve included a mix of different gift ideas so there is a fair bit of variety and to keep it relatively simple, I’ve covered my top three picks per category.

Women

Mini Terrarium Cactus Keychain (£5)

I adore this ridiculously cute cactus keychain! Perfect for plant lovers (and resiliant enough for those that struggle to keep them alive) this tiny terrarium is a complete steal at £5? I personally purchased one of these and it is currently residing in my car, waiting to put a smile of my face each morning. Available in a choice of colours and with optional customisation I think this is a fabulous little gift and am completely chuffed with mine.

Set of three printed A6 notebooks (£9)

Who doesn’t appreciate a nice notebook? This set of three A6 notebooks with cheerful designs can be picked up for under a tenner from Oliver Bonas, and are the idea size for slipping into a handbag or displaying proudly on your desk. Each notebook is embossed with gold detailing and packed with unlined pages for important notes and doodles, and a matte finishes gives them a really tasteful finish.

This specially curated Nails Inc Candy Cane set is exclusive to John Lewis, and includes three fantastic nail colours packaged in a delightfully cute Christmas candy cane. Nails Inc are a great brand, and their nail polishes are a treat to use. The colours included are Mayfair Market, Kings Cross Road and King Cross Road Glitter and are spot on for the merry party season.

Men

Notebooks make great gifts for men and women of any age, and this black marble A4 notebook is a fantastic example of a sleek, stylish stocking filler. Embossed with gold text and containing 44 lined pages, the impressive quality is sure to win over even the pickiest of recipients.

Grip Strip (£6.99)

Now for something that at first appears to be a bit of a gag gift – a strip of polymer that promises to hold up numerous different gadgets and products to anywhere that you want to try sticking them. Sounds rubbish, right? I have to say, I didn’t expect much from this when I bought it, but the Grip Strip is fantastically fun and does exactly what it says on the tin. Whether it’s adhering your phone to your car dashboard or having your makeup brushes suspended above your dressing table for easy reach, this great little gift does it all.

Scaramouche and Fandango Men’s Travel Pack (£15)

Scaramouche and Fandango are an up and coming luxury men’s brand that I’ve been hearing lots of good press about lately, so when I heard about their reasonably priced gifting range for Christmas I jumped at the chance to have a look. Whether they’re jetting off abroad or taking a staycation, this travel pack of four handy sized skincare and body essentials would make a great gift for the travelling man in your life.

Kids

Make Your Own Big Ben (£3.95)

Perhaps my favourite of the lot is this make your own Big Ben kit from John Lewis. Made up from foam pieces and requiring no tools it is a delightfully easy and fun build. Coming in at just £3.95 and turning out to be hugely popular, it’s the cheapest stocking filler so far proving that not all trendy gifts have to break the bank.

Nari the Narwhal Nightlight (£9.99)

This adorable nightlight comes in three pastel colours and emits a soft, soothing glow to provide comfort to even the most restless of sleepers. It runs on batteries to save electricity and switches itself off after an hour, to save you leaving the comfort of your cosy warm bed to do it – what more could one want? Genius!

Sock Monkey Craft Kit (£12)

Crafting is super fun – even as an adult I enjoy making things and being arty and I think this sock monkey craft kit would make a superb gift for the creative little ones in your life. Containing everything you need (including sweets!) and available in a range of different colours it’s sure to keep them entertained this Christmas Day.

And that concludes my round up of wonderful items just waiting to be gifted! Everyone has their own tastes and opinions on what makes a great gift (and who knows your loved ones better than you?) but hopefully this has provided you with a little inspiration for picking the perfect present.
